ÖSD B1 Sprechen: 3 Sample Exams with Model Dialogues (2026)

7. October 2026· 10 min read

By the Logami team. Built by German teachers, in the format of the official ÖSD Zertifikat Deutsch Österreich B1 oral exam.

The speaking exam is the hardest part to prepare for on your own. You cannot rehearse a conversation alone, and many practice materials give you the task but not what a good answer sounds like. This page shows you both.

Below are three complete ÖSD Zertifikat Deutsch Österreich B1 Sprechen samples. Each one has the exam sheets laid out like the real papers, a model dialogue between two candidates for every part, the phrases that carry the conversation, and a short tip for each part.

What the examiners score

  • Erfüllung der Aufgabe

    Task completion

    Scored separately for each task: 7.5 + 10 + 10 points.

  • Ausdruck, Wortschatz

    Expression and vocabulary

Enough words and phrases for everyday topics, with occasional paraphrasing. Up to 17.5 points across all three tasks.

  • Verständlichkeit, Aussprache und Intonation, Flüssigkeit

    Clarity, pronunciation, fluency

Clear enough that your partner rarely has to ask you to repeat, even with an accent. Up to 12.5 points.

  • Formale Richtigkeit

    Accuracy

Mistakes are fine as long as they do not get in the way of understanding. Up to 17.5 points.

How to read the model dialogues

Candidate A speaks on the left, candidate B on the right, and the examiner's lines sit in the middle. The dialogues show what a good performance at this level looks like: clear, natural German that does exactly what the task asks, with both candidates reacting to each other.

Phrases marked like this are reusable. They work with almost any topic, so learn them as whole chunks and you will have something ready to say in your own exam. All topics, people and quotes are our own, and the portraits on the info sheets are AI-generated.

Model dialogue

  1. Examiner

Danke.

  3. Goran · Candidate A

  5. Goran · Candidate A

  7. Goran · Candidate A

Muster 1 · Aufgabe 3

Muster 1, Aufgabe 3: Gemeinsam eine Aufgabe lösen

Solving a task together · 10 points

Model dialogue

  1. Examiner

Vielen Dank. Jetzt kommen wir zu Aufgabe 3. Bitte planen Sie gemeinsam den Kindergeburtstag.

  2. Goran · Candidate A

  4. Goran · Candidate A

  5. Leila · Candidate B

Super Idee! Wie viele Kinder laden wir ein? Ich würde sagen, jedes Kind darf fünf Freunde einladen, also ungefähr zehn Kinder.

  6. Goran · Candidate A

  8. Goran · Candidate A

Perfekt. Und welche Spiele machen wir? Vielleicht Sackhüpfen und eine Schatzsuche im Hof?

  9. Leila · Candidate B

  10. Goran · Candidate A

  11. Leila · Candidate B

Genau, so machen wir es. Die Kinder werden sich freuen!

How to practise with these samples

  1. Open the sheets for one sample and set a timer for the preparation time. Make short notes, not full sentences.
  2. Play the conversation with a partner, then swap roles so you both practise A and B.
  3. Only now read the model dialogue. Which marked phrases could you have used?
  4. Do the same sample again a few days later with your own opinions and examples.
